Job Description & Requirements

Location: Bangalore, India | Openings: 2 | Type: Full-time | Compensation: Up to ₹20 LPA

A global Liquid Credit Strategies (LCS) investment platform is hiring Credit Analysts to join its Center of Excellence team in Bangalore. The team manages diversified fixed income portfolios across global credit markets — senior secured floating-rate bank loans, high yield bonds, and opportunistic investments across the capital structure including distressed debt, convertible securities, and preferred equity — through CLOs, SMAs, commingled funds, closed-end funds, ETFs, and BDCs across the US and Europe.

If you want hands-on exposure to leveraged finance, corporate credit analysis, and capital structure investing — working alongside onshore analysts on live portfolio decisions — this is a strong next step in a credit research career.

About the Role

As a Credit Analyst, you’ll partner closely with onshore analysts to support fundamental credit research and portfolio monitoring across US and European credit markets. You’ll build both quantitative and qualitative analytical skills through direct involvement in evaluating investment opportunities, monitoring existing positions, and supporting portfolio management initiatives across a wide range of industries and asset classes.

What You’ll Do

  • Source key data inputs to support the evaluation of new credit investments in US and European primary and secondary credit markets, working alongside senior analysts who assess borrowers’ business fundamentals, industry drivers, credit risks, and valuation/recovery prospects
  • Support ongoing credit monitoring — collecting and organizing financials and diligence items from data rooms, enriching the internal credit database with key deal statistics, and maintaining declined-deal statistics for reference against peer comparisons
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests from credit analysts and provide relevant information as needed
  • Help maintain credit shell financials for high-quality credit names, with scope to grow into drafting summary notes on earnings and newsworthy events (reviewed and signed off by senior analysts before distribution to portfolio management teams)

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of overall experience, including 1+ years in credit research or financial processes
  • Working knowledge of US/European financial statements, accounting principles, and capital structures
  • Exposure to US/European corporate bonds, leveraged loans, or financial modeling is a strong plus
  • Hands-on experience covering or working with US/European credit companies
  • Strong Excel skills, including the ability to formulate and build macros; proficiency in PowerPoint and Word
  • Familiarity with third-party financial data tools (e.g., Bloomberg, agent data sites) is an advantage
  • A Master’s degree in Commerce or Finance; CA/CFA/FRM is an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication — able to summarize large amounts of information clearly and quickly
  • Comfort working as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder, international team environment

Why This Role

  • Direct exposure to global leveraged finance and capital structure investing, not just back-office support
  • Mentorship from experienced onshore credit analysts and portfolio managers
  • Clear growth path from data/diligence support into summary note drafting and broader credit coverage
  • Work across a genuinely diverse set of instruments — loans, HY bonds, distressed debt, converts, preferred equity — rather than a single narrow product
